Key Responsibilities of the RN - Bone Marrow Transplant
- Provide exceptional care for patients with bone marrow transplants
- Administer chemotherapy with adherence to safety protocols
- Conduct bedside shift reports and safety rounds
- Float as needed to maintain optimal unit staffing
- Occasional participation in BM biopsy procedures
Requirements of the RN - Bone Marrow Transplant
- BLS, ACLS, and ONS chemo certifications required
- Oncology and PCU level care experience
- Proficiency in telemetry reading and simple titration of drips
- Strong assessment skills and competency in administering chemotherapy
