Location : Dallas, TX

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM

Compensation: $20+/hr. (based on experience) + full benefits

Position Overview:

Southwest International Trucks is seeking an experienced Truck Body Painter to join our Dallas Team . This full-time role offers competitive pay, comprehensive benefits, and company incentives.

Truck Body Painter Job Responsibilities :

• Surface Preparation : Remove grease, dirt, paint, or rust from vehicle surfaces using abrasives, solvents, brushes, blow torches, or sandblasters to ensure optimal paint adhesion.
• Masking & Taping : Accurately tape and mask vehicles to protect areas not being painted.
• Buffing & Polishing : Perform post-paint buffing and polishing to achieve a high-quality finish.
• Paint Mixing & Application : Properly mix paint to ensure even and consistent spray application.
• Equipment Maintenance : Clean and maintain spray guns and other painting equipment.
• Work Assessment : Notify the Body Shop Manager of any additional work required beyond the initial scope.
• Safety Compliance : Maintain a safe and clean work environment by following established safety standards and practices.
• Documentation : Complete daily paperwork accurately and on time.

Truck Body Painter Requirements:

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; CDL preferred
• Good verbal, listening and written communication skills
• 3 years MINIMUM experience Painting in a Diesel Truck Body Shop setting
• Ability to solve problems in an efficient and effective manner

Additional Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Pre-employment drug screening
• Pre-employment physical examination
