Card Services Representative

PlainsCapital Bank is looking to hire a Card Services Representative. The Card Services Representative is responsible for the full cycle of the debit card program from the initial issue of the card, day to day transaction processing, dispute processing, maintenance, settlement, reissue and closure of cards. Will work closely with branches and customers by effectively communicating via email and phone.

• High School diploma, general education degree (GED), or equivalent required.
• Six months previous clerical and/or customer service required with one to two years previous banking experience preferred.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division.
• Excellent PC skills, including word processing and spreadsheets via Microsoft Office products as well as custom applications and systems.
• Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
• Good customer service skills.
• Excellent time management, organizational, and problem-solving skills with the ability to multi-task and work in a deadline-driven environment.
• Must be self-motivated with strong attention to detail and high level of accountability.

• Reviews and processes new debit card requests received from branch locations or online by entering data into the Bank’s Host system.
• Performs frequent cardholder cleanup consisting of closing and purging inactive cards from the Host system.
• Reconciles all GL and DDA accounts related to the check card product.
• Provides quality customer support for lost/stolen cards, fraudulent activity, and transaction disputes.
• Processes all adjustments and disputes related to the debit cards in accordance with Regulation E and network operating rules.
• Closes and purges all cards from the Host system that are captured at PlainsCapital locations.
• Responsible for answering customer questions and internal emails regarding card services.
• Researches declined transactions and makes card changes to resolve customer issues.
• Provides backup support for Internet banking and ACH Origination functions.
• Responsible for re-issuing expired and compromised debit cards.
• Maintains and reports internal audit logs of card inventory.
• Generates daily batches to properly distribute daily transaction, fees/income, and dispute settlement from card network.
