Job Position: 2nd Shift Fabricator

Location: ARLINGTON, TX 76010

Pay Rate: $18.00-19 DOE

Shift: 6am-2:30pm

2nd Shift Fabricator

Ascend Staffing is hiring experienced Welders for our Arlington, TX based client. The client is a national manufacturer, supplier, and installer of canopies and related components that services all sectors of the Retail Petroleum Industry, from independent oil marketers to major oil companies and large convenience store chains.

Work Hours: 6am-2:30pm Monday- Friday (Weekends as needed)

Pay rate: $18-19hr depends on experience.

Candidates with Structural Welding experience are highly preferred. Metal Core Wire welding is a must. Please contact Elias at (682) 219-9822 feel free to text as well.

Responsibilities:

• Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and fabrication specifications to determine welding requirements.

• Select appropriate welding equipment, tools, and materials for the job.

• Set up welding machines, including selecting the correct welding parameters such as voltage, wire feed speed, and gas flow rate.

• Perform MIG welding operations to join metal components according to specifications.

• Maintain welding equipment and ensure proper functioning.

• Monitor welding process to ensure quality and consistency of welds.

• Conduct visual inspections of welded joints to detect defects or imperfections.

• Inspect welded components for accuracy, completeness, and adherence to specifications.

• Perform quality control checks to ensure welded joints meet standards for strength, appearance, and structural integrity.

• Make adjustments to welding techniques or parameters as needed to maintain quality standards.

• Adhere to safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents and injuries.

• Use personal protective equipment (PPE) such as welding helmets, gloves, and safety glasses.

• Ensure compliance with welding codes, standards, and regulations.
