Legacy LSC (Light Sport Center), LLC. provides aircraft component manufacturing, aircraft assembly and maintenance as well as parts and aircraft sales. Legacy LSC also trains and supplies pilots and aircraft for aerial survey and surveillance. Our team consists of FAA Licensed Instructors and Pilots, who work in close collaboration with the Aero and Technology divisions of our partner, Legacy PSG, Inc.

Summary/Objective

We are currently searching for an Inventory Manager for our new location just outside of Lubbock, TX. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with an interest in aviation. As our Inventory and Sales Manager, you will be a key player in establishing and maintaining efficient inventory management practices at our new airplane manufacturing facility. You will oversee all aspects of inventory control, including tracking, cost control, monitoring, and optimizing inventory levels to ensure smooth production processes. You will also lead aircraft parts and kit sales. Experience with QuickBooks accounting and inventory software is a big plus.

Essential Functions

  • Inventory Management: Develop and implement inventory control strategies to optimize stock levels while ensuring on-time production.
  • Customer Service: Reviewing customers' orders and ensuring a positive experience during aircraft parts sales and ready to build aircraft kits to the public.
  • New Facility Setup: Contribute to the setup and organization of the inventory system within the newly acquired facility, ensuring it aligns with the company's goals and standards.
  • Customer Interaction: Engage with customers, understand their needs, and facilitate inbound orders and sales transactions.
  • Cost Tracking: Monitor and control inventory costs, seeking cost-effective solutions and process improvements.
  • Vendor Collaboration: Establish and maintain relationships with suppliers and negotiate favorable terms.
  • Price Comparison: Continuously analyze pricing structures to ensure competitiveness and cost-efficiency.

Qualifications:

  • Experience or major interest in aviation.
  • Accounting experience.
  • Previous inventory management experience, preferably in an automotive or aviation-related industry is a plus.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Strong computer skills and understanding of Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to learn inventory management software.
  • Excellent analytical and negotiation abilities.
  • High attention to detail and organizational skills.

Required Education and Experience

  • High School Diploma + 3 years related experience in aviation, inventory management, accounting, or bachelor's degree in related field
