Global Materials Manager
:
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop the inventory entitlement requirements for MTS, CTO, ETO and MTO portfolio across Business unit and roll it out across the mfg. and service locations.
- Sales and Operations planning to ensure appropriate inventory to support current forecasted business and projected growth; gain consensus from Sales, Supply Chain, and Manufacturing to respond to current and expanding markets.
- Develop the global inventory dashboard to achieve operating inventory targets, including managing aged, surplus and non-productive inventories
- Facilitate Standardization/Rationalization/Additive mfg. opportunities with Engineering for materials outside of stocking program
- Develop Procurement working capital strategy with Vendor Managed Inventory and Make/Buy decisions
- Facilitate development of execution controls in form of dashboards for facility-based procurement and materials functions to ensure timely execution of Work order and Purchase Orders
- Facilitate rollout of software to an ERP by collaborating with IT based on Supply Chain needs. Implementation efforts are on related to Procurement integration with suppliers, Materials inventory planning and Inventory verification with barcoding etc.
- Develop Forecasted inventory based on sales input outside of the MTS/CTO program and maintain forecast accuracy and guidelines for the same
- Rollout the Min/Max methodology and the SS by collaborating with IT for respective ERP's
- Work with Distributors for strategic inventory- its management and controls
- Facilitate the rollout of the automation software for inventory planning- R+
- Other duties as assigned
EDUCATION QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor Degree Required, Master's a plus.
- Bachelor's in Mechanical, Industrial, SC preferred
- 5-10 years' experience in Materials or Operational Role
- APICS certified, or must have willingness to complete within first year in role
- LEAN / Six Sigma Green Belt Certified preferred, or must have willingness to obtain if not certified
JOB EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
- Strong Analytical skills, Organizational and problem-solving skills, develop understanding of technical documentation and standards- Drawings, Specs. Etc.
- Working knowledge of MS Office and ERP systems; especially proficient in the use of Excel
- Familiarization with manufacturing and service environment
- Strong professional relationship building skills, and ability to interface across the entire enterprise (Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, PM&L, Trade Compliance, Accounting, etc.)
- Comply with all NOV Company and HSE policies and procedures.
- Excellent communication abilities
- Experience planning in an Engineered-to-Order or Make-to-Order manufacturing environment preferred.
- Experience with ERP Planning preferred. (oracle experience preferred but other ERP experience will be considered).
