Precast Concrete Mixing Specialist
Can you keep a precast mixer running at peak performance?
If you thrive on precision and pace, this role puts you at the heart of production. Your mission: operate one mixer to BDS expectations, keep batches on schedule, and reduce downtime—without compromising Safety or Quality.
Your Impact
- Champion Safety and Quality procedures to protect teammates and ensure consistent, high-quality concrete.
- Collaborate with bed foremen and QC to verify the mix formula and the number of cubic yards required.
- From the console, call up the correct recipe, input yardage, and dial in moisture for optimal results.
- Watch the batching interface to confirm every component is weighed and mixed per spec.
- Inject steam when needed to hit the requested mix temperature.
- Direct Equipment Operators to the proper mixer and discharge concrete into delivery equipment.
- Manually mix small quantities when the job calls for it.
- Own daily cleanup—chip buildup, grease components, and keep the work area orderly.
- Step in for Equipment Operators to deliver concrete when required.
- Tackle other assignments from the Supervisor as they arise.
What You’ll Need
High School Diploma or GED; or one to three months of related experience/training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
