Executive Chef

Cibolo Creek Ranch is seeking a hands-on Executive Chef to lead and elevate the culinary program at a high-end, destination guest ranch in West Texas.

This is a working chef position. The Executive Chef is expected to be actively involved in daily prep and service, setting the standard for execution, organization, and consistency across the kitchen.

The culinary program is rooted in refined American and Mexican cuisine, with an emphasis on quality ingredients, disciplined technique, and thoughtful presentation aligned with a luxury guest experience.

This role requires a chef who can lead from the front, develop a team, and consistently execute at a high level in a unique, remote environment.

• Lead daily kitchen operations with direct involvement in prep and service
• Set and maintain high standards for food quality, execution, and presentation
• Train, mentor, and develop kitchen staff with a focus on fundamentals and consistency
• Build a structured, accountable, and professional kitchen culture
• Oversee all aspects of food production, including prep, plating, and service flow
• Develop and refine menus based on seasonality, product availability, and guest expectations
• Manage ordering, inventory, food cost, and waste control
• Maintain strong organizational systems, including labeling, storage, and FIFO practices
• Ensure the kitchen is fully prepared and staffed for all services
• Collaborate with leadership to align the culinary program with the overall guest experience
• Uphold all health, safety, and sanitation standards

• 3–5+ years of progressive culinary experience, including leadership in a high-standard kitchen
• Proven ability as a hands-on chef , not solely an administrative manager
• Strong foundation in both American and Mexican cuisine
• Demonstrated experience training and developing kitchen teams
• Organized, disciplined, and detail-oriented
• Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, high-expectation environment
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
• Experience in luxury hospitality, resorts, or destination properties is a strong plus

Cibolo Creek Ranch is a luxury destination property located in a remote region of West Texas .

The setting is rugged and remote, while the guest experience is refined and high-end. The culinary program is a central part of that experience and is expected to meet a consistently elevated standard.

Total compensation potential: $100,000 – $120,000+
