Assist the principal in the administration of the campus' activity fund transactions. Perform general bookkeeping and maintain campus activity fund financial records.

DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Maintain complete and systematic records of campus activity fund transactions

• Record details of financial transactions in appropriate journals and ledgers

• Maintain accounts by verifying, allocating, and posting transactions.

• Maintain general ledger by transferring account summaries.

• Examine all computerized general ledger transactions daily for accuracy, make corrections as needed, and inform principal of problems.

• Compute and record cash receipt summaries.

• Balance general ledger and subsidiary accounts by reconciling entries.

• Work with organization sponsors to make inquiries and resolve discrepancies in account records.

• Transfer funds between accounts as directed by principal.

• Prepare financial statements, income statements, and cost reports to reflect financial status of accounts.

• Maintain physical and computerized files and records.

• Maintains confidentiality

• Regular attendance

EXPERIENCE:

• One to three years of accounting or bookkeeping experience

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education/Certification:

• High School Diploma or GED

Special Knowledge/Skills:

• Knowledge of accounting principles and practices
• Ability to use calculator (10-key by touch)
• Ability to use personal computer and software to develop spreadsheets and do word processing.
• Proficient skills in typing, keyboarding, and file maintenance.
• Ability to work with numbers in accurate and rapid manner to meet established deadlines.
