System Executive Chef - Healthcare

We are looking for a results-driven, vision-oriented, and operations-focused System Executive Chef. This will be a leadership position within a high volume, multi-site healthcare client facility, responsible for developing and executing culinary solutions to meet and exceed customer needs and tastes. This pivotal role’s contributions will be a significant factor in customer satisfaction and driving long-term, thriving customer relationships. This role combines expertise in the delivery of innovative culinary programs and hospitality services with executive management skills to ensure all culinary experiences inspire and delight our customers while meeting the highest standards of quality, innovation, and satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

Menu Planning & Culinary Execution

  1. Create balanced, high‑quality meals for elderly residents.
  2. Maintain consistent quality, presentation, and adherence to menus.
  3. Utilize batch cooking and incorporate fresh, creative ideas.

Kitchen Operations & Leadership

  1. Oversee daily kitchen operations and ensure compliance with all sanitation and safety standards.
  2. Lead, train, and supervise culinary staff; recognize performance and support development.
  3. Manage team meetings, daily huddles, and staff records.
  4. Maintain an organized, efficient, and clean kitchen environment.

Food Preparation & Service

  1. Prepare and serve meals on time with proper temperature and presentation.
  2. Accommodate dietary restrictions and foster a positive, resident‑focused atmosphere.
  3. Provide server coverage when needed.

Financial & Inventory Management

  1. Meet food and labor cost targets and monitor performance metrics.
  2. Maintain proper inventory levels and plan food quantities for upcoming meals.

Collaboration & Communication

  1. Partner closely with kitchen staff, servers, and leadership.
  2. Communicate clearly and professionally about staffing and operational needs.

Client & Community Engagement

  1. Build strong relationships with residents and client partners.
  2. Stay current with regional culinary trends and support community‑based sourcing.
  3. Collaborate with culinary leadership and supply chain partners on sourcing strategies.

Training & Compliance

  1. Attend all required training and support staff development.
  2. Ensure compliance with state and federal requirements.

Additional Duties

  1. Assist with daily kitchen functions and act as Dining Supervisor when needed.
  2. Contribute to a warm, home‑like dining environment.

Requirements

  1. Minimum 7 years of relevant experience (senior living), including 3 in leadership.
  2. Strong culinary skills; ACF or CIA certification preferred.
  3. Knowledge of operations, food safety, and regulatory requirements.
  4. Proven leadership, communication, and time‑management skills.
  5. Ability to learn and use culinary technology tools.

Physical Requirements

  1. Ability to stand for long periods and work in high‑heat environments.
  2. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  3. Occasional travel for training or broader support.
