We are seeking an experienced Senior Database Developer / Database Administrator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in database design, administration, performance tuning, enterprise application support, and Agile software development. This role requires expertise with Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, Azure SQL, and enterprise database solutions supporting mission-critical applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, administer, and maintain enterprise database solutions using Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server.
• Analyze database requirements and create scalable, high-performance database architectures.
• Optimize database performance through query tuning, indexing, and performance monitoring.
• Design and maintain relational database structures ensuring data integrity and security.
• Develop technical and functional design documentation for database solutions.
• Support enterprise application development and integration with multi-tier architectures and microservices.
• Collaborate with development teams throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) using Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Implement backup, recovery, high availability, and disaster recovery solutions.
• Develop and support ETL processes to extract, transform, and load data into Azure SQL.
• Participate in CI/CD pipelines and DevOps processes using Git and related deployment tools.
• Troubleshoot production database issues and implement long-term solutions.
• Work closely with architects, developers, business analysts, and infrastructure teams to deliver enterprise database solutions.

Required Qualifications

• 8+ years of professional experience with relational databases.
• Strong experience with Oracle Database and Microsoft SQL Server (or similar RDBMS).
• Extensive experience in relational database administration.
• Strong knowledge of database design, data modeling, normalization, and database structures.
• Experience with database performance tuning, optimization, and troubleshooting.
• Experience designing enterprise applications and services.
• Experience creating technical and functional design documentation.
• Experience working within Agile/Scrum software development methodologies.
• Experience with multi-tier application architecture, SOA, Microservices, or 3-tier applications.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting large-volume enterprise databases.
• Experience with High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) environments.
• Experience with Microsoft Azure and Azure SQL.
• Experience developing ETL processes for Azure SQL.
• Familiarity with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, Git, and deployment automation.
• Experience with Java/J2EE Enterprise Development.
• Microsoft Azure Certification preferred.
• Oracle or SQL Server DBA Associate Certification preferred.
