HD Diesel Mechanic (Mobile)
Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Diesel Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in maintaining and repairing diesel engines, with a focus on customer service and quality workmanship. This role requires expertise in various mechanical systems, including farm machinery and tractor-trailer units. The Diesel Mechanic will be responsible for diagnosing issues, performing repairs, and ensuring that all equipment operates efficiently and safely.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and repair diesel engines, including brake systems and other mechanical components.
- Diagnose mechanical issues using diagnostic tools and equipment.
- Perform routine maintenance on vehicles and machinery to ensure optimal performance.
- basic understanding of automotive maintenance and repairs, as they will inevitably encounter these throughout the day.
- Work on farm machinery, ensuring all systems are functioning properly.
- Operate cranes as necessary to assist with repairs or maintenance tasks.
- Communicate effectively with customers regarding service needs and recommendations.
- Document all work performed and maintain accurate records of repairs and maintenance activities.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Diesel Mechanic or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of diesel engine systems, including brake repair and suspension systems.
- Ability to transmit technical information clearly to customers and team members.
- Familiarity with operating cranes and other heavy machinery is preferred.
- Excellent customer service skills to interact positively with clients.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail in diagnosing issues.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour
