Manufacturing Accounting Analyst

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the month-end close process for manufacturing cost accounting, including journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analysis

• Analyze standard costs, production costs, and inventory valuations to ensure accuracy and alignment with operational metrics

• Partner with operations, supply chain, and finance teams to monitor and improve manufacturing financial performance

• Perform in-depth variance analysis on material, labor, and overhead costs, providing actionable insights to leadership

• Develop and maintain reporting tools and dashboards to track key manufacturing KPIs

• Assist with annual budgeting, forecasting, and periodic reforecasting for manufacturing operations

• Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting policies, and procedures related to manufacturing activities

• Support audits and provide documentation related to manufacturing and inventory accounting

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or CMA preferred

• 5+ years of accounting experience, with a strong emphasis on manufacturing and cost accounting

• Proficient in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, JD Edwards) and advanced Excel skills

• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and present clear recommendations

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills across finance and operational teams

Work Environment:

• First 6 months: 5 days in-office (Houston) for onboarding and team integration

• After 6 months: Hybrid schedule (2 days remote, 3 days in-office)
