Manufacturing Accounting Analyst

Key Responsibilities:
Lead the month-end close process for manufacturing cost accounting, including journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analysis
Analyze standard costs, production costs, and inventory valuations to ensure accuracy and alignment with operational metrics
Partner with operations, supply chain, and finance teams to monitor and improve manufacturing financial performance
Perform in-depth variance analysis on material, labor, and overhead costs, providing actionable insights to leadership
Develop and maintain reporting tools and dashboards to track key manufacturing KPIs
Assist with annual budgeting, forecasting, and periodic reforecasting for manufacturing operations
Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting policies, and procedures related to manufacturing activities
Support audits and provide documentation related to manufacturing and inventory accounting
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or CMA preferred
5+ years of accounting experience, with a strong emphasis on manufacturing and cost accounting
Proficient in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, JD Edwards) and advanced Excel skills
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and present clear recommendations
Excellent communication and collaboration skills across finance and operational teams
Work Environment:
First 6 months: 5 days in-office (Houston) for onboarding and team integration
After 6 months: Hybrid schedule (2 days remote, 3 days in-office)
