Continuous Improvement Project Lead
Continuous Improvement & Project Lead MIBA Industrial Bearings U.S. (MIBUS) is a global leader in the design and manufacture of hydro-dynamic bearings. Working for MIBA, based in Deer Park,TX the candidate will be responsible for leading and supporting the Continuous Improvement activities for the aftermarket division of Miba Industrial Bearings and projects to support the site strategic goals .
BASIC FUNCTION:
This position is accountable to improve continuously and consistently the site overall performance. This role is responsible to identify opportunities through analysis, manage project development from initiation to closure, coach on problem solving technics, work with cross functional teams to achieve site performance objectives to increase customer satisfaction, team engagement and profitability.
The Continuous Improvement & project Lead is capable to interact with every team and department of the site, behave ethically, work safely, work independently and within a team, and focus on our customer’s satisfaction.
This position reports to the Site Manager.
PRIMARY DUTIES:
- Develop and implement continuous improvement strategies to increase site performance in all areas of the company.
- Train and coach teams on continuous improvement methodologies and tools, to solve problems.
- Lead cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize improvement opportunities and develop action plans to address them.
- Monitor and track progress of improvement initiatives and provide regular updates to senior management.
- Collaborate with other departments to implement best practices and standardize processes across the organization.
- Facilitate Kaizen events and other improvement workshops to engage employees and drive results.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
- Manage and prioritize multiple improvement projects simultaneously.
- Recommend and lead Value Added Engineering activities for manufacturability and cost reduction
- Lead safety initiatives
- Recommend new standards and policies.
- Work closely with other departments whose services are necessary to conclude assignments.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Business Administration or related field preferred
- 3 Years minimum working experience in Project management & Continuous Improvement preferably in the Metal Working Industry
- US Citizen/Resident required.
- Must be experienced in Lean/Six Sigma methods with hands on experience.
- Demonstrated experience leading and participating in Kaizen events.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate cross-functional teams.
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing organization processes
- Experience analyzing metrics, identify and develop KPIs
- Must be a self-starter, lead and be able to work in a team environment and perform a variety of duties without loss of efficiency.
- Demonstrated project management experience
- Experience in a low volume/high mix manufacturing environment preferred
- Experience with Quality (ISO 9001), Environmental (ISO 14001), and Health & Safety (ISO 45001) business management systems.
