Docketing Clerk - Houston (Hybrid)

Our Downtown Houston client and detail-oriented Docketing Clerk to support a fast-paced litigation and trial team. The ideal candidate thrives under pressure, can manage competing deadlines, and has extensive experience supporting high-volume litigation practices in a law firm environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and manage litigation calendars, court deadlines, and docketing activities for busy trial teams
- Review court filings, rules, scheduling orders, and correspondence to calculate and calendar deadlines accurately
- Monitor federal, state, and local court dockets and ensure timely updates to attorneys and staff
- Coordinate with attorneys, paralegals, and litigation support teams regarding upcoming deadlines, hearings, trials, and filings
- Assist with trial preparation and support multiple active matters simultaneously
- Maintain accurate case information and documentation within document management systems
- Generate reports and provide deadline reminders to legal teams
- Ensure compliance with court rules, filing procedures, and internal protocols
Qualifications
- Minimum 3+ years of docketing or litigation support experience in a law firm environment
- Prior experience supporting a high-volume, busy trial team is required
- Strong working knowledge of federal and state court rules and calendaring procedures
- Experience with iManage and/or NetDocuments (NetDocs) is required
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and litigation calendaring systems
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to prioritize effectively and work independently in a deadline-driven environment
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
Preferred Skills
- Experience with complex commercial litigation, mass tort, or trial-heavy practices
- Familiarity with e-filing systems across multiple jurisdictions
- Ability to adapt quickly in a fast-moving legal environment
