Job Title: Medical Laboratory Scientist

Location: Burleson TX 76028

Schedule: M-F 8:00-5:00 CT

Pay Rate Starting at: $35.00 / hourly

Dean's Professional Services is actively seeking a Medical Laboratory Scientist to join our clinical laboratory team. The ideal candidate will perform a wide range of complex laboratory tests on patient specimens, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with regulatory standards. This role is essential in supporting quality patient care and diagnostic accuracy in a high complexity testing environment.

Responsibilities:

• Perform specimen handling, processing, analysis, and reporting in accordance with laboratory protocols
• Ensure proper documentation and maintenance of records, including test results and quality control data
• Analyze patient specimens using approved testing procedures and instruments
• Review and release accurate test results in a timely manner
• Adhere to all CLIA, HIPAA, OSHA, and lab-specific safety regulations
• Maintain quality control logs, calibrate instruments, and perform routine maintenance
• Identify and resolve issues that may affect testing or results; escalate as needed
• Report STAT and critical results according to department procedures
• Participate in proficiency testing and ensure samples are processed like patient specimens
• Maintain the appearance and functionality of the lab, including reagent labeling and inventory
• Provide support to internal staff and answer client or lab personnel inquiries as needed

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology preferred; OR
• Bachelor's in Chemistry or Biology with required laboratory experience; OR
• Associate degree in Laboratory Science or Medical Technology; OR
• Foreign-educated candidates must provide credential evaluation from IERF

• U.S. educated candidates must submit original transcripts
• 1+ years of clinical experience in high-complexity testing preferred
• Must be familiar with quality control (QC), quality assurance (QA), and lab-wide testing practices
