Position Title: Senior Pastor

Church Overview

We are a 106‑year‑old Southern Baptist church with a rich history and a strong legacy of faithfulness. As we honor our past, we are prayerfully seeking a Senior Pastor to lead us into a new season of spiritual growth, renewal, and long‑term impact for future generations.

Position Summary

The Senior Pastor will provide spiritual leadership, vision, and pastoral care to the congregation while guiding the church through a season of revitalization. This role is well suited for a hands‑on, energetic shepherd who is passionate about preaching the Word, building momentum, and investing in families and children. The pastor will work alongside a committed core group eager to see the church flourish.

Key Responsibilities

Proclaim and teach Scripture clearly, faithfully, and effectively through strong, biblically grounded preaching
Provide spiritual leadership and pastoral care to the congregation
Lead the church in a vision for revitalization, growth, and long‑term ministry impact
Build relationships and momentum within the church and surrounding community
Invest in and support young families and children
Develop and strengthen a vibrant children’s ministry
Equip and encourage church members for service and discipleship
Collaborate with church leadership and ministry teams to advance the mission of the church

Qualifications

Seminary training required; Master of Divinity (MDiv) preferred
Demonstrated calling and heart for church revitalization
Experience serving as an Associate Pastor and/or Lead Pastor, particularly in a growing or transitional church setting
Strong communicator with the ability to connect across generations
Relational, energetic, and hands‑on leadership style
Commitment to long‑term ministry and community impact
