The Tax Systems Analyst responsibilities:

• Compile source data for sales and use tax and property tax returns and ensure it ties to the general ledger for all BD legal entities (multistate and Canada).

• pulling data for sales tax audits

• Assist in the day-to-day operations of the Sales and Use Tax Group

• Present accurate and complete data to stakeholders including documenting process and following internal controls.

• Compile clear, reliable data for gross receipts and sales and use tax from SAP and tax systems.

• Identify issues in current data and processes and lead the team to implement changes.

• Assist with IT projects to upgrade software and maintain monthly updates to tax as required.

• Assist with sales tax audit requests and appeals, working with business units, customers, third party consultants and state auditors.

• Lead project to review and implement process of purchase invoices for use tax.

Education and Experience:

• Minimum B.S. in Computer Science, Business or Related Field

• Minimum 1 years' experience in Sales and Use Tax (3 years preferred)

• Strong SQL and Python experience

• Strong Microsoft Excel with ability to manipulate data (VLookUp, Pivot Tables, Charts)

• Understanding of GAPP Accounting and knowledge of SOX controls/compliance (preferred)

• Excellent Analytical and Problem Solving skills

• Excellent Communication Skills

• ERP Experience (SAP or JDE preferred)

• Tax applications- Sabrix or Vertex preferred (or Avalara)

• Lean Six Sigma Certified (preferred.)
