Staff Accountant

Job Overview:

Primoris Services Corporation is searching for a Staff Accountant in the Lewisville, TX area. The Staff Accountant will play an integral role in maintaining and supporting the corporate accounting function. For this role, we are looking for a proactive self-starter who enjoys working in a challenging and fast-paced environment.

  PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Responsible for month-end financial reporting and accounting tasks, including preparation of journal entries, reconciliations and financial reports.


• Prepare variance analyses for management’s review.


• Prepare various schedules for the quarterly reviews and annual audit.


• Answer accounting and financial questions by researching and interpreting data.


• Develop and maintain documentation for business and system processes for assigned responsibilities.


• Assist with SOX audit requirements.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

• 2-3 years of professional accounting experience, public or industry.


• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.


• Familiarity with accounting and corporate finance principles and procedures.


• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.


• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.


• Strong interpersonal skills (oral and written), must be able to work and communicate with individuals at all levels across the organization.


• Ability to work as a team.


• Strong organizational and time management skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Proficiency in Viewpoint software a plus.


• Accounting experience in the construction industry preferred.


• CPA or pursuing designation preferred.
