What You'll Do

• Lead daily kitchen operations by supervising, training, and supporting cooks and food service staff while actively assisting with meal preparation and cooking
• Plan and execute regular and modified menus that meet resident dietary needs while following standardized recipes, portion control, and presentation guidelines
• Monitor food quality, production, and waste by completing daily production worksheets, waste logs, and conducting meal quality checks
• Manage inventory, food costs, and departmental supplies to stay within budget while ensuring adequate stock and proper use of leftovers
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local health, safety, sanitation, and food service regulations, including audit readiness and equipment cleanliness standards

Requirements:

• Minimum of three to five years of culinary experience and/or kitchen management experience required
• Knowledge of food safety and familiar with food service disaster plan required
• High school or vocational school coursework in kitchen basics preferred
• Must be 18 years or older
