RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Execute all duties related to company's finances and operations.
• Accounts payable process- Ensure timely payments to vendors, accurate recording of expenses
• Prepare Monthly Reporting Packages for Management Team
• Prepare month-end accruals and journal entries
• Reconcile GL, bank and credit card accounts
• Report prep/Phone/Email interface with E&P Clients and Royalty Owners
• Revenue deck maintenance
• Pay & File monthly reports with Regulatory/Tax Agencies
• Audit Employee Expense & Mileage Reports
• Interface and manage company's CPA to prepare all income tax returns
• Manage company technology
• Assist as needed in small company environment & capable of wearing multiple hats

REQUIREMENTS:

• Experienced and comfortable using Excel to prepare medium complexity spreadsheets including pivot tables and charts.
• Detail oriented, punctual, self-managed
• Highest honesty, integrity, and confidentiality with character references
• 45-hour workweek avg.
• Available after hours for calls when need arises
• Finds satisfaction in maintaining current and accurate accounting records, assisting clients and vendors by phone with account questions, and preparing timely, accurate, comprehensive financial reporting packages

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting with minimum 3.2 GPA average in accounting classes
• 7+ years accounting experience with strong grasp of GAAP financial accounting theory and practice
• CPA designation is preferred but not required
• Small company experience and desire to work in a small cohesive team
• Proactive and deadline-driven
• Pleasant, professional demeanor

Our company closed its office during COVID and all company employees (4) work from home. Company principals (2) are located in Austin and Corpus Christi respectively. Our atmosphere is informal with direct access to company owners at all times. Company provides 100% paid health care for employees.

WORK FROM HOME:

There will be a monthly need to meet the owners in person. For this reason, we are seeking individuals that are within 120 miles from Austin.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $100,000.00 - $135,000.00 per year
