Thrive seeks to hire an experienced and dynamic Area Vice President (AVP) to lead our high-performing sales team. As a key executive, this individual will be responsible for driving sales growth, developing strategic client relationships, and leading a sales team to exceed performance targets. The ideal candidate will have experience guiding a sales team in complex solution selling and have a proven record of exceeding sales targets and goals, ideally within the MSP, cloud, or cybersecurity space. This role is ideal for a leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is committed to achieving excellence in customer satisfaction and revenue generation. Primary Responsibilities
- Lead, manage, and mentor a team of 5+ account managers and outside sales executives setting sales targets, performance metrics, and strategic goals aligned with the company’s objective
- Develop and implement effective sales strategies to retain existing clients and acquire new accounts, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction and loyalty
- Work closely with the marketing, product, and customer service teams to ensure a cohesive approach to market penetration and customer experience
- Conduct high-level negotiations with key clients, establishing and maintaining profitable and long-term relationships
- Analyze market trends and customer needs to anticipate potential opportunities or challenges, adjusting strategies accordingly
- Prepare detailed reports on account status, forecasting, and business development, presenting to senior management and stakeholders
- Manage budgeting and forecasting for the sales department, ensuring resources are allocated effectively to maximize ROI
- Drive continuous improvement in sales processes and techniques through training, development, and the implementation of best practices
- Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and networking events to enhance business growth and the organization’s presence in the market
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, or related field. An MBA is preferred
- 7+ years of relevant experience in sales or account management, with at least three years in a leadership role
- Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets and driving team performance in a competitive industry
- Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate teams
- Strong analytical and negotiation skills, with a keen ability to handle complex sales cycles
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of fostering strong client relationships
- Experience working with clients in financial services preferred
