About Our Client Our client is a trusted leader in compressed air quality testing and related environmental testing services. Serving industries from food & beverage and pharmaceuticals to defense, aerospace, and medical applications, they ensure compliance and safety where it matters most. Recently, the company expanded with a new in-house microbiology lab, creating fresh growth opportunities in mold and bacteria testing.
With a strong global presence and financial stability, the company is poised for its next stage of expansion and seeking its first dedicated Business Development Manager to drive growth. The Opportunity We are looking for a highly motivated Outside Sales Representative to join our team in Austin, TX. This role is critical for generating new business and managing existing client relationships , focusing on selling specialized compressed air, mold, and bacteria testing services to industrial and commercial clients. As the Outside Sales Representative, you will be responsible for the full sales cycle and client management: What You Will Do - Identify and prospect potential clients in food, beverage, pharmaceutical, defense, aerospace, and industrial sectors through research, cold calling, networking, and attending trade shows.
- Manage the entire sales cycle — from lead generation and presentations to proposals, negotiations, and closing deals.
- Build and maintain long-term client partnerships by acting as a trusted advisor and understanding regulatory and operational needs.
- Develop deep knowledge of compressed air testing and microbial testing services, clearly explaining complex technical and compliance information to clients.
- Stay informed on regulatory requirements, ISO standards, competitor activity, and evolving food safety regulations to identify growth opportunities.
- Partner with internal teams (lab, customer service, inside sales, operations, and marketing) to deliver client success and provide market feedback.
- Track sales activities, forecasts, and pipeline opportunities using a CRM system, reporting results and insights to leadership.
- Consistently meet and exceed assigned sales quotas and revenue targets.
- Expand revenue within existing accounts while developing net new business opportunities.
Who You Are - You have 5+ years of B2B outside sales experience, ideally in technical, scientific, or industrial services.
- Familiarity with compressed air systems, ISO standards, microbiology testing, or environmental monitoring preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Environmental Science, Business, or related field preferred, not required.
- Proven record of consultative selling, managing the full sales cycle, and growing client relationships.
- Self-starter excited to shape growth strategy in a high-impact, entrepreneurial role.
