Carpenter
As a carpenter, you will be responsible for building and installing formwork, which involves constructing temporary molds that hold wet concrete in place. Your expertise in interpreting construction blueprints and plans will ensure that each concrete structure meets the exact dimensions and shapes required.
Responsibilities- Construct and install formwork for concrete structures.
- Interpret construction drawings and plans for precise formwork dimensions.
- Measure, cut, and assemble materials using wood, metal, or engineered form systems.
- Set up foundations and structural elements such as footings, walls, columns, beams, and slabs.
- Collaborate in placing reinforcing steel (rebar) inside the forms before concrete is poured.
- Assist in mixing, pouring, leveling, and smoothing concrete surfaces.
- Safely dismantle formwork after the concrete has set and prepare it for reuse.
- Operate power tools and equipment, including saws, drills, hammers, and levels.
- Ensure safety and structural accuracy by following strict safety procedures.
- Construction carpentry experience (3 years required).
- Ability to read drawings and independently calculate formwork materials.
- Proficiency in using table saws and handheld cutting tools.
- Experience with various hand and power tools.
- Familiarity with framing and formwork techniques.

Work EnvironmentWork primarily outdoors during the 1st shift, from 6am to 4:30pm. The role involves operating various power tools and equipment while adhering to safety protocols.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $22.00 - $29.00/hr.
