JOB SUMMARY
The HR Data Analyst plays a crucial role in collecting, processing, and analyzing human capital data to assist HR and Business leaders make informed decisions and drive business outcomes.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ability to collect, organize and convert data into a format suitable for analysis, such as creating tables, charts, or graphs
- Identify, analyze, and interpret results using statistical and analytical techniques to extract meaningful insights and patterns from the data
- Create visual representations (i.e. graphs, charts, dashboards) to communicate findings effectively
- Interpret data findings and providing actionable recommendations to stakeholders
- Build predictive models to forecast trends, make predictions, or solve specific problems
- Identify and rectify errors or inconsistencies in the data to ensure accuracy and reliability
- Gather and maintain data from various sources, including databases, surveys, and external datasets. Adhering to data privacy regulations and ensuring data security
- Work with management to prioritize business and information needs
- Work with cross-functional teams to understand their data needs and provide support for data-driven decision-making
- Acquire data from primary or secondary data sources and maintain databases/data systems
- Keep up with industry trends and new data analysis techniques to enhance skills and knowledge
- Other duties as assigned
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Technical expertise regarding data models, database design development, data mining and segmentation techniques
- Knowledge of statistics and experience using statistical packages for analyzing datasets (Excel, SPSS, SAS etc.)
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
- Adept at queries, report writing and presenting findings
- Proficiency in data analysis tools like Excel, SQL, Python, R, and data visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI.
- Addressing complex business problems through data-driven solutions
- Workday Reporting experience preferred, Dashboards, Scorecards and Prism experience a plus
- Manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment
- Strong organization and facilitation skills
- Strong written and oral communication skills
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
Minimum: Bachelor's degree;
YEARS OF EXPERIENCE
Years of Experience Range: 3-5 years; 2-4 years in a HR systems role supporting Workday
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS
Percent of Travel Required: Less than 5%
WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL DEMAND
Work is typically performed indoors in an office environment. Incumbents must be able to perform work which includes typing, sitting, and standing. In the event that incumbent visits operations worksite, personal protection equipment, including head protection, hearing protection, safety glasses, safety shoes, and flame-resistant clothing is required. Safety rules including OSHA and DOT requirements are strictly enforced. Employees must be willing to travel and work extended hours on short notice.
