Description:
Tarleton State University is currently seeking a skilled and organized Operations Coordinator to join its Campus Operations department in Stephenville, Texas. As a well-established doctoral institution with multiple campuses across Texas, the university offers a collaborative and forward-thinking environment focused on academic excellence, innovation, and community impact. The Operations Coordinator plays a key role in supporting the daily administrative and operational functions of the department. This position involves coordinating projects, maintaining accurate records, managing communications, and assisting with various operational processes to ensure efficiency and compliance with university standards. The role also includes serving as a Campus Security Authority (CSA).
This is an on-site position with standard working hours from Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, though additional hours, weekends, or holidays may be required based on operational needs.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Providing administrative support such as scheduling meetings, maintaining calendars, and assisting with communications
- Supporting the coordination and execution of departmental projects to ensure timely completion
- Managing transactional tasks including data entry, invoice processing, and documentation tracking
- Collecting and organizing operational data to assist in reporting and decision-making
- Identifying operational issues and contributing to solution development and implementation
- Assisting in tracking and allocating departmental resources for improved productivity and compliance
- Supporting the distribution of information and assisting with training on updated procedures
- Participating in meetings and representing the department when required
- Monitoring project progress and assisting in execution
- Reviewing basic contracts and supporting contract-related processes
- Collaborating with internal teams and performing additional duties as assigned
Required Skills and Abilities:
- Proficiency in word processing, spreadsheets, and Adobe software
- Strong proofreading and attention to detail
- Ability to multitask, prioritize responsibilities, and meet deadlines
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively across all organizational levels
- Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and time management capabilities
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information responsibly
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
