Assistant to Financial Advisor
The financial advisor assistant will be responsible for providing administrative and operational support to the financial advisor in a boutique financial planning office. The ideal candidate might be someone who has earned his/her securities licenses (or is willing and capable of attaining), but at least has spent at least 1-2 years in the industry - either as a banker, sales assistant, licensed banker or supporting an investment book of business as an admin/call center service in the financial industry .
Licenses not required - however, Licensed Sales Assistant will have opportunity to share revenue/pay structure incentives. Looking for the right fit to stay with the firm; this position will be offered perks, fun and flexibility for longevity!
The successful candidate will have strong organizational skills and be able to manage multiple priorities as well as the ability to anticipate needs , be intuitive , innovate (strong tech skills) , and eagerly communicate directly with clients, vendors, support providers, etc.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist financial advisor with daily activities, including maintaining calendars, preparing correspondence, and providing customer service.
- Interact with clients in person and over the phone.
- Prepare and review paperwork.
- Facilitate and resolve client service requests.
- Apply a working knowledge of operations/client-service processes.
- Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of investment and insurance products and their associated processes and procedures.
- Specific operational knowledge of investment and insurance products (specifically mutual funds, variable annuities, and mutual fund wrap programs)
- Thorough understanding of the financial industry and policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements related to investment trading
- Work independently, effectively, and efficiently.
- Ensure paperwork is prepared and provided for all client meetings.
- Handle confidential and/or sensitive information responsibly.
- Maintain admin functions of the office such as office supplies and mail.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
ADDITIONAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES:
- At least two (2) years of financial services experience (required).
- Very Detail oriented, organized, and able to work independently.
- Strong phone and written skills - eagerness to take responsibility.
- Committed to providing exceptional customer service, LOVES communication with clients.
- High degree of comfort managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong character, a positive attitude, and ability to troubleshoot.
- Experience with CRM systems and very comfortable with using multiple software programs.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School diploma (required).
- Microsoft Office Suite/Proficient in Excel (required).
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Contract
Pay: $20.00++ per hour with potential to share revenue (licensed individuals)

Schedule:
- 30 hrs PT: 9am-3pm or 8:30am-2:30pm, M-F
- 40 hrs PT: 8:30am-4:30pm, M-F

Experience:
- Financial concepts: 2 years (Required)
