Principal Data Scientist

Overview

Ascentt Systems Inc is seeking a qualified professional to fill the position of Principal Data Scientist based in Plano, TX. Responsibilities will include: Design, develop and deployment of Business, information technology solutions through the Application of Data Science Use Case life cycle Methodology. Develop and implement a set of techniques or analytics applications to transform raw data into meaningful information using data-oriented programming languages and visualization Software. Responsible for creating, deploying, monitoring and enhancing Data Science solutions. Understanding the Business problem to address and create Machine Learning solutions by experimentation, evaluation and cloud deployment of the best model and assist the support teams in analyzing and implementing model enhancements. Apply knowledge of Data Visualization, Statistics and Data analysis, Operations Management, Cloud Computing to extract and analyze information from large structured and unstructured datasets. Create graphs, charts, or other visualizations to convey the results of data analysis using specialized software. Compare models using statistical performance metrics, such as loss functions or proportion of explained variance. Work within full Data Science life cycle from conception to building, improving, prototyping, testing, deploying, and measuring its overall business value. Test, validate, and reformulate models to ensure accurate prediction of outcomes of interest. Collaborate with other Data Scientists and Data Engineers to work towards the vision and improve Data Science practice within the organization. Position requires 50% national travel.

Qualifications

• Position requires Master’s degree or foreign equivalent degree in Science, Business Analytics, Computer Engineering, Network Infrastructure & Management Systems or a related field.
