Locum - Nurse Practitioner - General Medicine Houston, TX

Job Opportunity – General Medicine Provider – California
Start Date: Ongoing, PRN basis
Location: Multiple locations throughout California
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: Flexible per diem scheduling; half-day (4 hours) or full-day (8 hours) options available; 1-2 days per week depending on location
Highlights:
- Perform Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments for Veterans
- Primarily interview-based exams with some physical assessment (range of motion, muscle strength testing)
- No prescribing or treatment required
- Quick credentialing and onboarding process
- Option to work from your own office or at designated facilities
- One-time completion bonus for training and first exam
Requirements:
- Active and unrestricted California medical license
- AANP certification
- Background in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Orthopedic Surgery, or General Medicine
- Proficiency in METs testing, evaluating and diagnosing respiratory and cardiovascular conditions
- Must own a laptop (no Mac/Apple products)
- Willingness to complete DMA training and certification
- Must reside within 50 miles of selected location (some exceptions apply for rural areas)
- Self-Query NPDB clearance (within 30 days)
- If using own office: facility must meet ADA compliance requirements including wheelchair accessibility, designated handicap parking, accessible restroom, and proper safety equipment
