Job Title: Administrative Assistance/Director Assistance
Reports to: School Director
Job Overview:
The Administrative Assistant plays a vital role in supporting the daily operations of the school. This includes front desk management, maintaining accurate student and staff records, assisting with enrollment, and providing excellent customer service to families, staff, and visitors. This position helps ensure the school operates smoothly and aligns with Primrose's mission and standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet and assist families, staff, and visitors in a friendly and professional manner
- Answer phones, respond to emails, and manage other front office communications
- Maintain accurate student and employee records, including health and safety documentation
- Assist in coordinating school events and special programs
- Manage daily attendance and sign-in/out procedures
- Order and organize office and classroom supplies
- Support the Director and teaching staff as needed
- Ensure compliance with state licensing regulations and school policies
- Help with marketing and enrollment efforts, including scheduling tours and following up with prospective families
- Step into classrooms when needed to maintain ratios or support teachers
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred
- Previous administrative, customer service, or childcare experience is a plus
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Ability to multitask and manage time efficiently
- Friendly, professional demeanor with a passion for working with children and families
- CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
