Staff Accountant, Hospitality
We are looking for an experienced and motivated Hospitality Accountant to oversee the financial operations of our growing portfolio of bars, restaurants, and coffee shops. The ideal candidate will bring hands-on experience in hospitality bookkeeping, with a strong focus on food and beverage accounting. This role requires a solid understanding of the industry’s unique financial practices, including tip reporting, wage compliance, and managing finances across multiple locations. We’re looking for someone with a strong attention to detail and a willingness to grow with a fast-moving, collaborative team.
Job Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate financial records for each bar and restaurant location, including daily sales, inventory management, and cost tracking.
- Oversee payroll processing, ensuring correct wage and tip calculations while maintaining compliance with tax and labor regulations
- Prepare detailed financial reports and performance analyses to support data-driven decision making and improve operational efficiency
- Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely reconciliation and payment of vendor invoices
- Accurately file and remit state-mandated alcohol taxes (e.g., TABC) for each applicable location
- Track and report on key financial performance indicators specific to each hospitality concept
- Partner with management to develop budgets and forecasts that align with strategic business objectives
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience, with a focus on the hospitality industry, particularly bars and food & beverage operations.
- In-depth understanding of wage structures, tip reporting requirements, and relevant local, state, and federal tax regulations
- Familiarity with TABC (Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission) tax reporting systems and compliance requirements
Business Skills:
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
- Experienced in managing accounting for multi-location and multi-concept operations
- Strong analytical and organizational abilities with sharp attention to detail
- Skilled in prioritizing tasks and managing administrative responsibilities effectively

- Knowledge of F&B and hospitality industry trends
