General Summary
Responsible for creating and executing the Blood & Tissue Center Foundation fundraising strategy in order to meet the fundraising goals of BioBridge Global and its subsidiaries. The Director of Development, under the direction of the Foundation Executive Director, will collaborate directly with the Blood & Tissue Center Foundation (BTCF) Board of Directors, the BTCF development committee, BBG COOs and the other members of the senior leadership team to effectively gain financial and organizational support from community stakeholders, private foundations, institutions and government operated entities.

Provide world class customer service by capturing and being responsive to the voice of the customer (internal or external, including donors for select positions) through multiple feedback channels in order to resolve issues and drive satisfaction in accordance with the BBG customer engagement, feedback, and complaint processes.
Major Duties and Responsibilities
Essential Tasks Leads the board in its strategic planning and establishes objectives based on goals and budget considerations agreed upon by the board and BBG senior leadership. Provides guidance to board in selection of new areas of interest. Work with the board and staff to define the Foundations mission, communicate it effectively within the Foundation, ensure that it serves continuously as an inspiration and guide and execute it. Develop programs to educate the board and build community outreach committees. Grant Strategy & Management- Oversee grant calendar, deadlines, and reporting requirements.
- Develop and execute an annual fundraising plan aligned with organizational goals.
- Set revenue targets and forecast short and longtermlong term fundraising needs.
- Lead diversified fundraising strategies: major gifts, annual giving, grants, events, planned giving, campaigns, and corporate partnerships.
- Identify new revenue opportunities and cultivate pipeline growth.
- Identify and research potential grant opportunities from foundations, corporations, government agencies, and philanthropic institutions/foundations.
- Identify, qualify, cultivate, solicit and steward donors and prospects by building meaningful relationships with financial donors to advance the mission.
- Contribute to the vetting and establishing positive relationships with third-party grant writing providers.
- Ensure high quality, high quality grant proposal writing, reporting, and compliance ensuring the proposal reflects consistent voice, accuracy, and organizational messaging.
- Develop strong narratives that communicate community need, program design, outcomes, and impact.
- Track proposal submissions, award progress, and grant status in the development database or grant management system.
- Manage the implementation and maintenance of CRM programs and oversee staff responsible for data entry and gift processing.
- Manage the maintenance of all relevant data for analysis to inform strategies and ensure accurate, ethical donor tracking and reporting.
Marketing, Communications & Brand Support
- Partner with marketing teams to align messaging with fundraising goals.
- Ensure consistent donor centric storytelling and impact reporting.
- Provide input to and oversight of fundraising collateral, case statements, and campaign materials.
Assist with the planning and execution of special events.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Non-Essential Tasks
Education Required Minimum EducationRequires a Bachelors Degree from an accredited four-year college or university. Preferred Education
Prefer a Master's Degree from an accredited college or university.
Licenses and/or Certifications
Valid United States Drivers License Certified Fundraising Executive (CFRE) designation preferred Fundraising Management certificate preferred Experience Required Minimum Experience Requires five or more years of grant writing, strategic development and board management including direct fundraising experience in a non-profit setting. Preferred Experience Experience Exception to Education Knowledge Knowledge Must obtain a working knowledge of regulatory/quality requirement and perform within all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and policies. Must have advanced knowledge in fundraising management. Must gain and maintain knowledge of all regulatory/quality requirements for federal and state legislation affecting charities. Skills Skills Must have strong time management, communications, public speaking, negotiation, and conflict management skills; strong organizational skills essential. Must have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing. Must have the ability to plan, work, evaluate facts, determine courses of action, apply best practices, and deal effectively with members and the public. Must have excellent management skills. Must be capable of operating motor vehicles in all types of weather conditions. Must have experience using Microsoft Office applications including Word, Outlook, Visio, PowerPoint and Excel. Working Environment & Travel Requirements Working Environment & Travel RequirementsWorks in a well-lighted, air-conditioned, and heated office. May be exposed to body fluids, blood borne pathogens, electrical, chemical and infectious hazards. May be required to work at any time of the day, evening or night during the week or weekend to include being on-call. Domestic travel and occasional overnight stays required. Will work extended hours during peak periods. Ability to use personal motor vehicle for company business required. Occupational Exposure Assignment - Category II
