What You’ll Do

• Prepare detailed and accurate estimates for commercial construction projects in Louisville, Kentucky

• Review construction plans, specifications, bid documents, drawings, and project scopes

• Complete detailed quantity takeoffs and construction cost analysis

• Develop competitive project estimates using PlanSwift and Bluebeam

• Request, evaluate, level, and negotiate subcontractor and supplier pricing

• Partner with project managers to establish project budgets and maintain cost accuracy

• Review contracts, change orders, project scopes, and related documentation

• Maintain organized estimating files, bid documentation, pricing information, and project records

• Identify potential commercial construction opportunities and support preconstruction strategy

• Visit project sites as needed to support estimating, bidding, and scope development

• Support hotel remodels, renovations, brand conversions, ground-up hospitality projects, and other commercial construction opportunities

What You Need

• 5 to 10 years of construction industry experience, including commercial construction estimating experience

• Experience estimating hotel remodels, renovations, brand conversions, or ground-up hotel construction projects is highly preferred

• Strong hotel and hospitality construction experience is highly preferred

• Proficiency with PlanSwift is required

• Experience with Bluebeam is preferred

• Strong knowledge of commercial construction estimating, quantity takeoffs, bidding, cost estimating, cost analysis, preconstruction, and construction methods

• Ability to evaluate subcontractor bids, supplier pricing, scopes of work, and project costs

• Ability to manage multiple estimates, bid deadlines, and competing priorities in a fast-paced environment

• Strong communication, negotiation, organizational, and relationship-building skills

• Knowledge of the Louisville subcontractor market is a plus

• Field construction experience is a plus
