The position offers meaningful exposure to global projects, cross‑disciplinary collaboration, and opportunities to influence how ConocoPhillips designs and delivers offshore developments worldwide. Position Overview Your responsibilities may include:

- Deliver independent technical assurance and engineering quality oversight from feasibility through execution, commissioning, and startup to ensure projects are set up for reliable delivery.
- Integrate interfaces across subsea, topsides, drilling and completions, and marine disciplines to enable cohesive, fit‑for‑purpose offshore development solutions.
- Support project planning and controls activities, including schedule integration, risk and uncertainty management, change control, and project readiness assessments.
- Guide commissioning and startup readiness, including performance testing and effective handover to operations.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate technical and execution risks through audits, reviews, and structured assessments, translating findings into actionable improvements.
- Ensure engineering decisions, technology selections, and designs comply with internal standards, regulatory requirements, and technical integrity expectations.
- Drive value creation through standardization, simplification, modularization, and the application of industry best practices.
- Oversee contractor and vendor technical deliverables to ensure alignment with project objectives, quality standards, and execution strategies.
- Support contracting and procurement strategies, including vendor qualification and technology evaluations.
- Promote knowledge sharing by embedding lessons learned, benchmarking insights, and emerging technologies into future projects.
- Engage proactively with Engineering, Procurement, Construction, and Installation (EPCI) contractors and suppliers to ensure technical readiness and equipment quality.

- Demonstrate visible safety leadership and uphold strong Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) performance throughout all project phases.
- Legally authorized to work in the United States.
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering, or foreign equivalent
- 10 or more years of offshore engineering experience across multiple project phases, from early development through execution and startup.
- Experience with offshore development concepts such as Floating Production Storage and Offloading (FPSO) units, semi‑submersibles, Tension Leg Platforms (TLPs), fixed platforms, and subsea tiebacks.
- Experience managing Engineering, Procurement, Construction, and Installation (EPCI) contractors and multidisciplinary engineering teams.
- Advanced knowledge of offshore production systems, field development concepts, and integrated system architecture.
- Understanding of subsurface uncertainty and its impact on offshore development planning and system selection.
- Solid understanding of offshore regulatory frameworks, industry standards, and classification requirements.
- Demonstrated ability to evaluate uncertainty, assess risk, and support high‑quality technical and investment decisions.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities in a complex environment.
- Working knowledge of metocean conditions, environmental loading, and marine and structural interactions.
- Builds strong relationships based on trust and seeks opportunities to collaborate across the matrix/organizational boundaries to achieve business goals.
- Drives thoughtful and pragmatic change by encouraging innovative thinking and continuous improvement, and models adaptability by responding resourcefully, flexibly, and positively when faced with new challenges and demands.
- Analyzes stakeholder needs, global, political, and market trends to understand how they shape the future and impact our business results.
- This position is primarily office‑based but may require occasional travel to project sites, fabrication yards, or offshore facilities.
- Travel may include domestic and international locations and, when required, offshore or marine environments.
