Position DescriptionMaintenance Support Tech III
Performs administrative support-related work in a maintenance office or district headquarters and for one or more projects and specialized programs. May serve as a lead worker. Work requires contact with high-level managers, executives, governmental officials and private entities. Employees at this level establish their own work plan and priorities to meet set objectives. Issues are rarely referred to the supervisor but are handled at the occurrence.
Maintenance Support Tech IV
Performs administrative support-related work in a maintenance office or district headquarters and for one or more projects and specialized programs. May serve as a lead worker. Work requires contact with high-level managers, executives, governmental officials and private entities. Employees at this level establish their own work plan and priorities to meet set objectives. Issues are rarely referred to the supervisor but are handled at the occurrence.
Essential Duties:
A day in the life of an office manager 3 may include:
- Administrative work to support a maintenance office on one or more projects, this may include answering phones, internal and external customer contact, and dealing with Government officials.
- Providing technical assistance to others using computers and associated software.
- Analyzing and organizing data, record keeping and inventory.
- Creating and maintaining a variety of activity logs.
- Processing receipts and invoices for payment.
- Preparing, and maintaining confidential and sensitive records and files.
- Supporting our safety program
- World class customer service.
- Other duties as assigned.
Maintenance office manager 4 would also be a lead worker
Minimum Qualifications:
Maintenance Support Tech III
Education : High School Grad or Equivalent in general education.
Experience : 3 years in administrative or clerical support, customer service, or related experience. (Experience can be satisfied by fulltime or prorated parttime equivalent). College education and/or relevant technical training may be substituted for experience on a year per year basis. Substitutions for Minimum Qualifications
Licenses and Certifications : Valid driver's license. This position requires driving a state vehicle.
Maintenance Support Tech IV
Education : High School Grad or Equivalent in general education.
Experience : 4 years in administrative or clerical support, customer service, or related experience. (Experience can be satisfied by fulltime or prorated parttime equivalent). College education and/or relevant technical training may be substituted for experience on a year per year basis. Substitutions for Minimum Qualifications
Licenses and Certifications : Valid driver's license. This position requires driving a state vehicle.

- Inventory/stock control procedures
- Providing prompt and courteous customer service; advising customers when delays are necessary and following up on identified problems until resolved.

- Analyzing and organizing business and technical data
- Preparing and maintaining confidential and sensitive records, files and reports
- Using computers and applicable programs, applications, and systems
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
- Sedentary work: Lift up to 10 lbs at a time and occasionally carry files/small tools
- Light work: Lift up to 20 lbs at a time and frequently lift or carry objects up to 10 lbs
- Sitting - prolonged periods of time
- Standing-prolonged periods of time
- Repetitive Motion-substantial movements of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers
- Close Visual Acuity-work includes data/figures; view a computer screen; extensive reading
