Senior Mechanical Engineer
TTS' Industrial Services Group is looking for a Senior Mechanical Engineer with extensive experience in cleanroom environments and industrial HVAC systems to support a high-profile advanced manufacturing project in the Gulf Coast or Southwest U.S.
This role is ideal for a seasoned mechanical engineer with a strong background in cleanroom design, air handling systems, and contamination-controlled environments. The selected candidate will provide technical leadership, support design and engineering activities, troubleshoot field issues, and collaborate with multidisciplinary project teams throughout the project lifecycle.
Responsibilities
Lead and coordinate mechanical engineering activities for complex industrial and advanced manufacturing facilities.
Develop and review HVAC and cleanroom system designs, calculations, specifications, and technical documentation.
Support equipment selection, technical bid evaluations, and procurement activities.
Perform field investigations, troubleshoot system issues, and provide practical solutions during construction and startup activities.
Coordinate with other engineering disciplines, construction teams, suppliers, and project stakeholders.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and designers.
Support development of engineering standards, procedures, and best practices.
Ensure designs comply with applicable industry codes, standards, and project requirements.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
10+ years of experience with industrial HVAC and cleanroom systems.
Strong knowledge of:
Air Handling Units (AHUs)
Air-Cooled Condensing Units
Variable Air Volume (VAV) Systems
Cleanroom Recirculation Systems
Cleanroom Exhaust Systems
Experience with contamination-controlled manufacturing environments.
Ability to troubleshoot and resolve mechanical and HVAC issues in field environments.
Strong understanding of engineering design practices, equipment layouts, and system integration.
Preferred Experience
Working knowledge of:
ISO 14644 Cleanroom Standards
IEST Recommended Practices
ASHRAE Standards
SMACNA Standards
International Mechanical Code (IMC)
Experience supporting semiconductor, pharmaceutical, advanced manufacturing, or similar highly controlled facilities.
Previous experience leading technical teams or serving as a discipline lead on major capital projects.
