Senior Mechanical Engineer

TTS' Industrial Services Group is looking for a Senior Mechanical Engineer with extensive experience in cleanroom environments and industrial HVAC systems to support a high-profile advanced manufacturing project in the Gulf Coast or Southwest U.S.

This role is ideal for a seasoned mechanical engineer with a strong background in cleanroom design, air handling systems, and contamination-controlled environments. The selected candidate will provide technical leadership, support design and engineering activities, troubleshoot field issues, and collaborate with multidisciplinary project teams throughout the project lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate mechanical engineering activities for complex industrial and advanced manufacturing facilities.
  

• Develop and review HVAC and cleanroom system designs, calculations, specifications, and technical documentation.
  

• Support equipment selection, technical bid evaluations, and procurement activities.
  

• Perform field investigations, troubleshoot system issues, and provide practical solutions during construction and startup activities.
  

• Coordinate with other engineering disciplines, construction teams, suppliers, and project stakeholders.
  

• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and designers.
  

• Support development of engineering standards, procedures, and best practices.
  

• Ensure designs comply with applicable industry codes, standards, and project requirements.
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
  

• 10+ years of experience with industrial HVAC and cleanroom systems.
  

• Strong knowledge of:
  

  • Air Handling Units (AHUs)
    

  • Air-Cooled Condensing Units
    

  • Variable Air Volume (VAV) Systems
    

  • Cleanroom Recirculation Systems
    

  • Cleanroom Exhaust Systems
    

• Experience with contamination-controlled manufacturing environments.
  

• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve mechanical and HVAC issues in field environments.
  

• Strong understanding of engineering design practices, equipment layouts, and system integration.
  

Preferred Experience

• Working knowledge of:
  

  • ISO 14644 Cleanroom Standards
    

  • IEST Recommended Practices
    

  • ASHRAE Standards
    

  • SMACNA Standards
    

  • International Mechanical Code (IMC)
    

• Experience supporting semiconductor, pharmaceutical, advanced manufacturing, or similar highly controlled facilities.
  

• Previous experience leading technical teams or serving as a discipline lead on major capital projects.
