SENIOR UTILITY COORDINATOR
TNP has an immediate opening for a Senior Utility Coordinator to join our Utility Management Team in our Fort Worth office. The Senior Utility Coordinator will work with the Utility Management team to develop utility conflict lists for assigned projects and coordinate and track the resolution of the conflicts with the Client, Design Engineer, and the Utility Owner. Responsibilities/Expectations :
- Perform conflict analysis of TxDOT and Municipal project plans. Identify violations, develop and maintain Utility Conflict Matrix from inception to completion
- Coordinate with involved utility owners/consultants/operators to achieve timely project notifications and submittals
- Identify foreseeable project utility impacts and provide recommendations for resolution by avoiding, minimizing, accommodating utilities, preventing costly utility adjustments and project delays
- Perform technical review and analysis of utility adjustment plans, including cost estimates. Determine Buy America material requirements, obtain and verify associated documents
- Prepare, distribute, review and submit to Client Standard Utility Agreement assemblies including all other related forms, handouts, notices, etc
- Determine a schedule for utility adjustments to ensure no conflicts will be created during relocation with utilities or contractors that meets the Client's letting schedule requirements
- Monitor and verify the installation, adjustment, relocation or removal of utilities
- Assist with resolving utility conflicts in the field
- Review billing documents from utilities prior to submittal to Client for payment
- Ability to read and interpret schematic, project plans, cross sections and right of way maps
- Familiar with standard procedures relative to roadway construction, utility planning construction and engineering fundamentals
- Ability to manage multiple projects at one time. Maintain positive and productive relationships with clients and utilities to deliver projects under tight schedules
- Must have exceptional communication skills to coordinate effectively with clients, consultants, utility owners and contractors
- Establishing strong client relationships and communication
- Preparing an effective project work plan for each project
- Technical and financial management of Utility Management projects
- Organizing task & assignments, and directing the efforts of a team, including engineers, technicians and sub-consultants
- Effectively coordinating & collaborating with technical experts, other engineering design teams and sub-consultants
- Preparing proposals, RFQ Responses, Work Authorization Exhibits, and assigning work to meet schedules
- Maintaining strong overall financial performance
Position Requirements : At a minimum, candidates must meet the following educational and professional requirements:
Education/Certification:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
Professional:
- Ten (10) years minimum experience designing public works infrastructure, preparing utility investigations, identifying utility conflicts, coordinating the relocation of utilities
- Experience on TxDOT projects and Pre-certified (or the ability to be Pre-certified within one (1) year) in Work Categories 18.3.1 Utility Adjustment Coordination, and 18.5.1 - Utility Construction Management and Verification
- Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D, MicroStation, Geopak, Microsoft Word and Excel (required)
- Experience identifying Utility Conflicts with Public Works projects
- Experience coordinating Utility Relocations for Public Works projects
- Strong commitment to Quality

- Demonstrated ability to develop solid collaborative working relationships with other team members
- Demonstrated ability to plan, organize and schedule work to meet deadlines

Compensation : Compensation includes:
- A competitive hourly wage, dependent on skills, qualifications, and experience
