Cloud Solutions Architect

Role Overview:

Texas Health and Human Services Commission seeks two experienced Cloud Solutions Architects to design, implement, and optimize enterprise cloud solutions. The role involves architecting scalable, secure, and resilient cloud infrastructures , guiding cloud migration strategies, and supporting AI/ML initiatives across AWS, Google Cloud, and Azure platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and maintain cloud application architecture aligned with business goals.
• Architect secure, scalable, and resilient cloud infrastructure using best practices.
• Assess current systems and develop cloud migration strategies .
• Implement and validate migrations ensuring data integrity and compliance .
• Ensure adherence to industry standards and regulatory requirements (GDPR, HIPAA).
• Implement cloud security measures and monitor system performance.
• Optimize performance, scalability, reliability, and cost efficiency .
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business needs into technical solutions.
• Provide technical guidance on AI/ML/Deep Learning projects leveraging AWS, Google, and Azure services.
• Stay current with cloud technologies and industry trends .

Minimum Qualifications:

• 10+ years architecting enterprise application solutions across on-prem and cloud.
• 8+ years in cloud architecture (AWS, GCP) and cloud-native application development.
• Expertise in IaaS, PaaS, SaaS models .
• 8+ years experience in AI/ML/Deep Learning solutions using AWS or Google tech.

Preferred Skills:

• Strong knowledge of networking (VPN, DNS, load balancers, firewalls) .
• Cloud security frameworks, IAM, encryption, compliance standards .
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Docker/Kubernetes, IaC tools (Terraform, CloudFormation) .
• Proficiency in Python, Java, C#, scripting for automation .
• API design and management ( REST, SOAP ).
• Microservices, serverless architectures , and cloud-native development.
• Cost optimization strategies for cloud environments.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills .
• Experience with AWS Bedrock, SageMaker, Redshift, EC2, Kinesis, EMR and Google Vertex AI.
• Cloud certifications (AWS Solutions Architect, Azure Expert, Google Professional Cloud Architect).

• Must be local to Austin, TX (within 50-mile radius) .
• Interviews via Microsoft Teams and in-person .
• Criminal background check required.
