Accounts Receivable Specialist

Tarrytown Expocare is looking for a Accounts Receivable Specialist in our Finance Department. This position will be responsible for handling customer service inquiries, posting payments, distributing invoices, and other AR related projects. In addition, the position will be responsible to communicate discrepancies to management, identify slow-paying customers, and recommend collection candidates.

Hours : Monday-Friday 9AM CST - 5PM CST

Location: Hybrid in our North Central Austin, TX location 1-2x/month

Key Responsibilities

• Act as principal billing liaison between Tarrytown Expocare customers and the company
• Prepare monthly receivable statements.
• Post customer payments to the appropriate accounts by recording check batches, credit card transactions and electronic transfers in the AR System
• Provide excellent service to both internal and external customers, including ad hoc requests and questions.
• Verify customer payments and contact them to resolve any discrepancies.
• Initiate continuous quality improvement in work processes.

Requirements

Skills

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Organized with attention to detail.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

Experience

• 2+ years of accounts receivable experience preferred, but not required
• Knowledge of Sage 300 helpful
