What You'll Do
- Prepare estimates and perform takeoff while preparing and sending preliminary scope letters, bid forms and documents, to meet bid schedules
- Identify accurate estimates of rebar material, equipment, and labor for a project
- Responsible for the Bid Process and Coordinating with Responsible Salesman
- Completes Estimate Summary sheet
- Understands the scope of work and accurately communicates the information to sales
What You'll Need
- Experience reading blueprints required
- Minimum 2 years In the Rebar industry preferred
- Basic knowledge of rebar types, shapes size, and applications preferred
- Strong Mathematical skills and technical writing skills required
- Experience and practical knowledge of rebar detailing per industry standards; with experience in either or all of: drafting/estimating and placing/sales of fabricated rebar is a plus
- Ability to deal with uncertainty and work under minimal supervision required
- Ability to multi-task and manage time required
- Ability to interact with co-workers and customers in a positive manner
- Ability to follow directions and work rules and accept constructive feedback required
- Ability to work overtime as necessary outside of normally scheduled shift with little or no advance notification
Your Education
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Associate degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Technologies preferred
- Bachelors Degree in one of the following: Construction Management, engineering, and/or related field a plus
