Job Description

Join a global leader in pressure and temperature calibration, renowned for providing solutions and products across various industries worldwide. Our team is looking to expand its bandwidth to tackle an increasing number of software and firmware development tasks. We are seeking a Software Engineer to work on projects ranging from sustaining engineering to new product development, supporting production, and troubleshooting software and firmware applications.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of tasks and work independently on them.

• Engage in design discussions, bug fixing, and code reviews.

• Participate in and contribute to team discussions.

• Mentor interns or new hires, fostering a collaborative learning environment.

• Work on embedded hardware or low-level communication protocol

• Develop applications running in custom Linux builds and some bare-metal systems for sensors and regulators.

Essential Skills

• At least 5 years of experience in software engineering.

• Proficiency in embedded software, Linux, and nice to have, Yocto.

• Nice to have: experience in cybersecurity.

• Bachelor's Degree in a related field is required; a Master's degree is preferred.

• Ability to articulate and demonstrate previous experience in software engineering.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in manufacturing or production environments is advantageous but not mandatory.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of San Marcos, TX.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $41.00 - $48.00/hr.
