Engineering Interns

Immediately seeking Engineering Interns for a large manufacturing company on the southside of San Antonio. Seeking Mechanical or Industrial Engineers currently enrolled in an Engineering degree program from an accredited college/university. Flexible work schedule to accommodate school schedule.

The internship will be 8-10 months paid.

Pay rate is $19/hr. plus shift differential.

Engineering Intern duties:

• Support setup and execution of product tests (stress, fatigue, thermal, vibration).
• Collect and analyze test data; prepare summary reports.
• Troubleshoot component failures and document root causes.
• Work closely with team leaders, supervisors, and manager to suggest and implement continuous improvement project ideas.
• Will perform special projects including tooling design and implementation, time studies, setup reduction activities, and designing/developing creative solutions to implement those improvements.
• Develop and execute study plan or time study to support manufacturing operations projects which include writing summary report and/or final presentation.
• Perform data collection, analysis, and other activities relate to improving various aspects of manufacturing which can involve safety, compliance, quality, productivity, efficiency, mistake proofing, capacity model development, Bill of Material (BOM), 5S, lean manufacturing, changeover reduction, cleaning improvement.
• Plan and execute 5S implementation.

Requirements:

• Must be actively enrolled in a Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering degree program from an accredited college/university.
• Must be self-motivated with leadership mentality.
• Must demonstrate a strong ability to adapt and quickly learn new processes.
• Knowledge of company policies, procedures and practices.
• Intermediate computer skills, ability to use Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Must be detail oriented.
