Electrical Assembler

We have an outstanding Contract to Hire position for an Electrical Assembler to join a leading Company located in the Houston, TX surrounding area.

Responsible for performing standard assembly processes, reworks, and repairs on manufactured equipment and products.

Responsibilities:

• Work under moderate to limited supervision, perform a variety of assembly operations associated with the manufacturing of products, small mechanical or electro-mechanical parts, or equipment housing, or large equipment such as engines, engine and PTO drive trains, transmissions, diesel and natural gas generators, control equipment, covers/cowlings, related connecting lines, etc.
• Assemblyprocess may include fitting, mounting, alignment, adjusting, andoperational testing and other duties.
• Promotes and contributes to safety awareness.
• Promotes and takes an active partin quality and continuous improvement processes.
• Performs preventive maintenance, inspects production equipment, and performs minor repairs.

Basic Hiring Criteria:

• High school diploma or equivalent and two to ten years related experience.
• Minimum3 years of heavy equipment assembly.
• Must be proficient in basic hand and power tools.
• Proficient understanding of calibration tools (Torque Wrench).
• Employees must be able to read blueprints and drawings as well asbe knowledgeable in the use of precision measuring instruments.
• Tasks include performing manufacturing math calculations and use of specialized lifting equipment.
• Basic knowledge of fluid power schematics and associated symbols.
• Good understanding of UEM quality policy and standards
• General understanding of MS computer programs (Word, Email, PDM).
• Good standing with company policies.
