Case Manager — Mass Tort

Our client is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Mass Tort Case Manager to oversee and manage a high-volume caseload throughout the lifecycle of complex mass tort litigation. The ideal candidate will serve as the primary point of contact for clients, maintain accurate case documentation, coordinate with attorneys and vendors, and ensure cases progress efficiently while providing exceptional client service.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a high-volume portfolio of mass tort cases from intake through resolution.
- Maintain consistent communication with clients regarding case status, documentation requests, and important deadlines.
- Review, organize, and maintain electronic case files to ensure completeness and accuracy.
- Collect, review, and organize medical records, pharmacy records, employment records, and other supporting documentation.
- Coordinate with medical providers, record retrieval vendors, lien resolution companies, and co-counsel as necessary.
- Monitor case milestones, court deadlines, and statute of limitations to ensure timely case progression.
- Prepare case summaries, chronologies, and supporting documentation for attorney review.
- Assist with plaintiff fact sheets, discovery responses, and other litigation-related documentation.
- Communicate with clients in a compassionate, professional, and confidential manner.
- Update case management systems with accurate notes, records, and task completion.
- Collaborate with attorneys, paralegals, intake specialists, and administrative staff to ensure efficient workflow.
- Identify missing information and proactively resolve issues that may delay case progression.
- Maintain compliance with firm policies, court requirements, and applicable legal and ethical standards.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience managing mass tort or complex personal injury cases.
- Strong understanding of mass tort litigation processes and case management.
- Experience obtaining and reviewing medical records and other supporting documentation.
- Proficiency with legal case management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Exceptional organizational, multitasking, and time management skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
- Ability to manage a high-volume caseload while maintaining attention to detail.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- High level of professionalism, discretion, and commitment to client confidentiality.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with multidistrict litigation (MDL) matters.
- Knowledge of common mass tort case types, including pharmaceutical, medical device, toxic exposure, or product liability litigation.
- Experience with document management systems and e-filing platforms.
