Position Summary
Seeking a detail-oriented Project Coordinator with air/ocean freight forwarding experience to manage shipment coordination, milestone tracking, client/vendor communication, and ensure smooth project execution from booking to delivery.
The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, a proactive mindset, and hands-on knowledge of freight forwarding processes, documentation, and shipment coordination.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate air and/or ocean freight shipments from origin to destination
- Track shipment milestones and provide proactive status updates to customers and internal teams
- Communicate with carriers, airlines, ocean lines, trucking partners, customs brokers, and overseas agents
- Prepare, review, and manage shipping documentation
- Assist with booking, routing, scheduling, and shipment planning
- Support customs clearance coordination and resolve shipment delays or exceptions
- Maintain accurate records in TMS, ERP, or freight forwarding systems
- Escalate and resolve operational issues quickly and professionally
- Work closely with operations, sales, customer service, and warehouse teams
- Ensure shipments are executed in compliance with customer requirements and company SOPs
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in freight forwarding, logistics, or project coordination
- Experience with air freight and/or ocean freight operations
- Strong understanding of shipment documentation and forwarding workflows
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience with logistics systems such as CargoWise or similar platforms preferred
