Dairy Farmers of America (DFA), Dairy Brands has an opening for a Financial Reporting Manager (Hybrid),Fort Worth TX.

Primary responsibilities include financial reporting and financial system administration. Produce value-added reporting, administer chart of accounts, and drive accurate financial reporting. Apply expert working knowledge and experience in managing financial applications. Demonstrate a team mindset and be able to effectively collaborate across functions and other finance and accounting departments.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Oversee and prepare concise and informative financial reporting to management enabling visibility and informed decision making.
• Support the monthly close to consolidated reporting process.
• Play a key role in review and preparation of monthly results. Review and analyze financial reports for accuracy and for appropriate supporting documentation.
• Prepare ad hoc reporting as needed, playing a key support role to the senior finance team.
• Challenge and further enhance financial reporting packages to maximize value to end-users. Identify areas to provide value and benefit to the entire organization by streamlining, simplifying, and adding value to reporting activities.
• Administer financial applications by maintaining end user security, including setting up new user accounts, and creating security filters and user groups. Maintain backups and recovery of databases associated with defined disaster recovery process.
• Administer standard chart of accounts, support and resolve systematic feeds for all accounting groups, and perform other daily/monthly system maintenance responsibilities.
• Assist users with report development and trouble-shooting.
• Design, test, document, and implement new and existing application reports and underlying metadata.
• Proactively seek opportunities to reduce system support through effective training, root cause analyses, and process refinement
• Develop, enhance, and deploy user training content, procedures, and troubleshooting guides.

Requirements:

Education and Experience

• Undergraduate degree in accounting required.
• 8+ years of progressive experience in finance, accounting, or related discipline coupled with strong financial systems application experience and technical mindset.
• Public accounting experience required.
• Essbase and JDE experience preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Knowledge of the principles and practices of financial planning and analysis and general accounting principles
• Strong technical/financial applications knowledge
• Solid knowledge of and skill with Microsoft Office Suite, ERP and reporting applications
• Strong attention to detail
• Able to actively take ownership of financial applications and projects.

Travel

• No travel required

• 5%-15% (1-3 times per year)

• 15%-25% (1-2 times per quarter)

• 25%-50% (up to 1 week per month)

• 50%-75% (up to 2 weeks per month)

• 75%-100% (3+ weeks per month)
