Dispensary Sales Associate

Hemp Hop is looking for highly organized and motivated individuals to join our team. Our sales associates have the responsibility of preparing pickup, delivery, and shipping orders, and interacting with our customers & providing caring service. Our sales associates perform a variety of tasks as they ready the product for market. Side work and cleaning is a major component of this job.

This is a fantastic opportunity if you're looking to get started in the Hemp & Cannabis industry. It is consistent work, in a clean and comfortable environment. 1+ years of Customer Service experience is preferred. Applicants with prior experience as a keyholder will receive the highest priority.

Customer Service & Sales Responsibilities:

• Pack customer orders for curbside pickups, deliveries, and shipping.
• Prepare USPS and UPS shipments for End Of Day
• Assist customers in a customer-facing, intimate retail environment and verbally over the phone.
• Assist customer inquiries via email in a timely manner
• Ensure inventory room and sales floor is properly stocked and presence of the store is well maintained
• Own responsibility for remaining up-to-date with product knowledge
• Play an active part in customer education on products, methods of consumption, and safety as part of customer interaction
• Correct order handling and discount application
• Accurate use and maintenance of the Point of Sale (POS) system; accurate and timely data entry of customer profiles in both the POS system and the state's electronic verification system
• Provide necessary support to management team to ensure retail store operations run smoothly, properly and in compliance with the applicable rules and regulations, including: daily activities, maintenance, and customer information for any reported issues and/or complaints

Side Work Responsibilities:

• Pack filled vape carts into correct packaging
• Place filled jars of solid-form concentrate into correct packaging
• Pack edibles into correct packaging
• 2, 20, & 60 count gummies
• Belgian Chocolates

• Print & Apply labels to packaging
• edibles , vapes, flower, prerolls, and more

• Cleaning of equipment and packaging facility.
• Maintaining strict inventory records of product, materials, and equipment.
• Record keeping of all details pertinent to inventory.
• Storing of supplies and equipment, disposal of waste, and keeping the work area in pristine condition.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Experience working in a retail and inventory environment is preferred
• Keyholder background preferred.
• Experience and background in the cannabis industry is preferred, but not required.
• Excellent communication skills and leadership both verbally and through written media.
• Strong number skills and basic math.
• Detail oriented with an eye on process improvement and optimization.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, to manage high-stress situations, and to be flexible and adaptable when a situation requires.
• Must be comfortable working in cold environments for extended periods of time.
• For extended periods, must be capable of sitting, squatting, standing, kneeling, bending, or walking through the workday.
• Must be able to handle constructive criticism and guidance and offer the same to others in the department.
• Must be able to wear proper PPE
• Consistent demonstration of excellent customer service skills
• Previous experience with POS systems
• Previous experience with order fulfillment.
• Desire to continuously learn (more) about cannabis, cannabinoids and the endocannabinoid system, Hemp Hop products, and cannabis therapies - previous knowledge is a HUGE plus!
• Ability to use standard office equipment, computer equipment and software including word processing, database management, spreadsheet applications and email
• Understanding of applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations as they pertain to the industry, personnel law, safety regulations, local municipal codes and organizational rules, regulations, directives and standard operating procedures
• Following GMP & Hemp Hop SOP's
• Participating in ongoing education and professional development opportunities.
• Working collectively and respectfully with other team members.
• Enforcing a culture of safety and attention to detail

Additional Requirements

• Must be 21 years or older
• Must pass any and all required background checks
• Possess valid driver's license or state ID
• Must be and remain compliant with all legal or company regulations for working in the industry

Working Conditions

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to perform grasping, talking, hearing, seeing and repetitive motions
• Warehouse setting
• PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Must be able to lift, carry and balance up to 30 pounds (100 pounds with assistance), may include sitting or standing for extended periods of time, as well as stooping, bending over and/or crouching
• Ability to work in varying and sometimes adverse weather conditions when the business requires such as performing retail operations outside via curbside service, removing trash or other outdoor tasks

EDUCATION:

Minimum High School or G.E.D equivalent is required.
