Mammography Tech ​​​​| Permanent Role

Location: Plano, TX, 75093

Shift: 8 HR Days | 08:00 AM - 04:00 PM

Guaranteed Hours: (40 hours/week)

Compensation: Based on experience (Negotiable)

• Perform high-quality breast imaging procedures including:
  • Mammography
  • Stereotactic biopsies
  • Ultrasound-guided biopsies
  • Needle localizations
• Ensure correct procedures are performed on the correct patient.
• Utilize AIDET (Acknowledge, Introduce, Duration, Explanation, Thank You) framework for patient communication.
• Assess patient's condition and ability to tolerate the procedure.
• Position patients and operate imaging equipment accurately and safely.
• Follow all safety, infection control, and radiation protection protocols.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area and imaging equipment.
• Collaborate with biomedical engineers and physicists for optimal equipment functioning.
• Assist in inventory and supply maintenance.
• Maintain accurate medical imaging records and documentation.
• Screen all individuals entering imaging areas according to policy.

Education:

• Graduate of an Accredited Radiologic Technology Program

Experience:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Mammography

Certifications/Licensure (Required):

• Basic Life Support (BLS) Must have or obtain within 30 days of hire
• Medical Radiologic Technologist (MRT) Licensed by the State of Texas
• ARRT Certifications:
  • ARRT-R (Radiography)
  • ARRT-M (Mammography)
