Front Desk Dental Receptionist with experience in Open Dental Software

Overview We are seeking a friendly and organized Front Desk Receptionist to join our team in a dynamic medical office environment. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for patients and visitors, providing exceptional customer service while managing various administrative tasks. This role is essential in ensuring the smooth operation of our dental office, and familiarity with medical billing and scheduling software is highly desirable.
Responsibilities
- Greet patients and visitors warmly, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere.
- Manage incoming calls, schedule appointments, and confirm patient visits.
- Maintain patient records accurately using software such as Epic, Eaglesoft, or Meditech.
- Assist with medical billing processes and insurance verification.
- Handle patient inquiries and provide information regarding services offered.
- Ensure the front desk area is organized and well-maintained.
- Collaborate with dental staff to facilitate efficient patient flow.
- Perform data entry tasks, including typing patient information and coding when necessary.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Front Desk Receptionist in a medical or dental office is preferred.
- Familiarity with medical billing procedures and coding practices is a plus.
- Proficient in using office equipment and software applications relevant to medical offices (e.g., Epic, Eaglesoft, Meditech).
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with patients and staff.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional certification in medical administration is advantageous.
