Structural Engineer (PE or EIT)

Job Roles and Responsibilities

• Assist with estimating, material takeoffs, and pricing for structural steel fabrication and erection projects.

• Track and manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, and related project documentation.

• Evaluate the impact of project changes on cost and schedule.

• Coordinate procurement and delivery of structural steel materials, decking, joists, embeds, bolts, and other project components.

• Support vendor and subcontractor coordination throughout project execution.

• Assist with project scheduling and coordination between engineering, fabrication, detailing, and field teams.

• Monitor project milestones and help maintain project schedules.

• Support quality assurance and safety compliance throughout fabrication and installation activities.

• Assist with weld inspections, bolt-up verification, lift planning, and site logistics coordination.

• Help resolve field issues and support timely project execution.

• Review and interpret structural drawings, shop drawings, and erection plans.

• Collaborate with project stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.

Qualifications and Certifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related discipline.

• Professional Engineer (PE) license or Engineer in Training (EIT) certification is required.

• Ability to read and interpret structural drawings, shop drawings, and erection plans.

• Familiarity with structural steel engineering and construction practices.

• Working knowledge of steel fabrication, detailing coordination, erection sequencing, bolting, and welding processes.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

• Ability to coordinate effectively with project teams, subcontractors, and field personnel.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.

• Experience with construction/project management software or CAD/detailing tools is preferred.
